I am originally from Southern California, and after decades of drawing and experimenting with art and music I decided to go to Art Center College in Pasadena. I graduated in the late 80's in automotive design, and worked for Ford for 20 years in Detroit, Japan and California. Automotive design was a lot of fun, but after years of the corporate setting I needed a break, so I decided to retire early and focus on the other things I love, life is too short. I spent a year traveling through one of my favorite places- the Southwest, which resulted in me returning to one of my loves- photography. I found myself becoming obsessed with unusual objects that were left out in the elements to rust away, so I created a photo essay of the experience called Left Behind. A few years later I ended up starting a business buying and selling musical instruments which brought me closer to one of my great loves- the guitar. I then started building guitars out of found objects from swap meets and antique stores, because I love hunting for lost treasures, so it was a good fit. These days I have returned to fine art painting, using all types of media- even spray paint. Lately I have been doing a lot of pop art comic book based works using primary colors, and after doing all of my artwork digitally for the last 25 years or so, painting with a brush has become a work in progress but I love it. You can still see a lot of automotive subject mater in my work, I guess I just cant help it.
